Heritage here is lived, not archived.

Our Story

There is a dress Emirati women have worn for generations.

Flowing, worked at the neckline and cuff, cut to move. Worn across the whole of a life — at home and out, on ordinary days and the ones that matter. In cotton when the day is plain, in silk and heavier thread when it isn't. It has never stood still. Every generation adds to it: new cloth, new hands, new work at the edges.

MIRLA is the next addition.

THE NEXT ADDITION

Not a replacement for what a woman already keeps in her wardrobe, but a companion to it — the same garment made as a two-piece set, a top and a trouser, worn together or apart. The same role in her life. Made now, to be worn now, and handed on later.

THE HANDWORK

Every piece carries traditional handwork, threadwork and beadwork set into neckline and cuff, worked by hand and applied with restraint.

THE DROP

MIRLA releases in drops — a small number of designs at a time, each named for a woman, each carrying a one-line story. Nothing is made in volume. Every piece earns its place.
